  • Front End Engineer

    Job Responsibilities

    The Front End Engineer:

    • Collaborates with product management and engineering to define and implement solutions for the product visuals and experience
    • Designs, develops and debugs single page web applications
    • Develops core integration of workflow user interface with underlying FastPay technology platform
    • Establishes and promotes design guidelines, best practices and standards
    • Implements best practices in terms of front-end web framework build processes
    • Collaborates closely and regularly with the other teams, including Quality Engineering, Platform Engineering, Product Development, Project Management and Customer Service
    • As key member of the technology team, helps recruit, screen, hire, train, mentor, and coach technology candidates both within and outside the team

    Skills & Experience

    • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing web client applications
    • Rock solid core front-end technologies: JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, JSON, AJAX
    • Solid understanding of concepts: OOP, event-driven programming, pub/sub architecture, MV* architecture
    • Proficient with RESTful API standards and best practices
    • MV* frameworks such as AngularJS, React, Backbone, and Ember.js
    • CSS pre-processors such as Stylus, Sass, Less
    • Experience debugging cross-browser compatibility issues

    The Back End Engineer:

    • Develops new features in Java, Python, and SQL for the FastPay platform based on business technical requirements, with strong focus on building data oriented API's 
    • Actively participates in all data development projects, including report building, query optimization, ad hoc report queries, design and documentation, ETL scheduling and implementation for both NoSQL data stores and open source RDBMS, e.g. MySQL
    • Creates and updates technical documentation for projects including: functional specifications, process design and decomposition, data dictionaries, schema models, data flow, and entity relationship
    • Collaborates closely and regularly with the other teams, including Quality Engineering, Platform Engineering, Product Development, Project Management and Customer Service
    • Researches, evaluates, tests, deploys, and maintains software development tools and utilities

    Skills & Experience

    • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    • 3+ years of engineering experience in designing, developing, and supporting complex, scalable, high-availability, high-variety data applications in Python, Java, and SQL

    Job Description: 

    Our credit analysts own the credit and revenue quality of our portfolio. FastPay is constantly reviewing our clients’ financial picture to provide more value by re-assessing the lending structure when appropriate.

    Credit analysts will be reviewing overall portfolio level trends to manage FastPay’s overall credit risk. We will look for associates in this role to own the space and make recommendations on how we can continually improve the quality of the portfolio. Analysts will prepare recommendations for senior management on the financial status of the company.

    Job Duties:

    • Prepare and present loan exposure results to senior management on a biweekly basis
    • Spread and analyze financials to assess creditworthiness
    • Monitor red flags and Fast Pay’s watchlist
    • Work alongside Relationship Managers to strengthen retention efforts

    This is a newly created position on our growing Boston based Inside Sales Team. The Inside Sales Executive will be responsible for finding, developing and closing new business. You will meet and exceed goals through a detailed tracking of sales targets/prospects, customer presentations & product demonstrations, negotiating and closing sales. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Achieves revenue growth targets and other sales related goals within named book of accounts
    • Proactively identifies new revenue opportunities and drives account growth and profitability acceleration including new business and cross-sell opportunities.
    • Aligns client business needs with products, solutions, and services offered.
    • Creates value and differentiates our services and products from competitors.
    • Drives contract negotiations for new and existing business within named accounts regarding new sales, account growth and contract renewals as appropriate.

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years’ experience in consultative sales

    The Role:

    The purpose of the role is to establish strategic business relationships with new clients while driving client satisfaction and maximize revenue results for FastPay. Function as an integral part of Sales team while supporting all current go-to-market strategies.

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve assigned quota within your given territory by selling FastPay’s portfolio of financial technology services and software development offerings for media industry clients.
    • Build a territory and account plan for the given fiscal year, leveraging existing pipeline, targeted account planning, prospecting efforts, and marketing initiatives.
    • Maintain pipeline progress and forecast accuracy, and opportunity progression via CRM.
    • Present FastPay’s value propositions and offerings to prospects and new clients.
    •  Drive FastPay’s sales process and methodologies, collaborating with internal stakeholders (Customer Relationship, Marketing, Operations) to effectively close new client deals.
    •  Be proficient invalidating/identifying and building relationships with all key individuals within a client’s organization.
    •  Drive contract negotiations with clients, leveraging internal and strategic business partners as appropriate.
    •  Willingness to travel 50%+

    Requirements

    • Proven track record of closing $1M to $5M+  in software or digital services per year, having demonstrated sales experience with payments, IT consulting, or media in new client accounts.
    •  Skilled in all aspects of consultative sales and business development to include prospecting, initiation, deal qualification, closure, and customer satisfaction/client management.
    •  A track record of opening new accounts and then growing them; and adeptness in building high-quality relationships versus taking a transactional approach.
    • Broad services experience across business development and delivery functions within a complex, highly matrixed, and professional services company with demonstrated ability to thrive in a results-driven, client-focused organization.
    •  Leverage industry connections and network to promote FastPay’s capabilities
    • 4+ yr experience in selling financial or technology services into the media or banking vertical
