  • Software Engineer

    THE ROLE:

    FastPay is seeking a Software Engineer - Platform to join our team in Los Angeles!

     

    Responsibilities: 

    • Develops new features in Java, Python, and SQL for the FastPay platform based on business technical requirements
    • Actively participates in all platform service & data infrastructure projects, including API development, database schema design, and ETL processes
    • Manage data aspects of the FastPay Platform including SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ETL processes (AWS centric pipeline)
    • Creates and updates technical documentation for projects including: functional specifications, process design and decomposition, data dictionaries, schema models, data flow, and entity relationship
    • Collaborates closely and regularly with the other teams, including Production & Quality Engineering, Product Development, Project Management and Operations
    • Researches, evaluates, tests, deploys, and maintains software development tools and utilities
    • As key member of the technology team, helps recruit, screen, hire, train, mentor, and coach technology candidates both within and outside the team

     

    Skills & Experience

    • 3-5 years of engineering experience in designing, developing, and supporting complex, scalable, high-availability, high-variety data applications in Python, Java, and SQL
    • Skills and experience with Java web services and ETL development in shell scripting, Python and SQL in Linux-based environment.
    • Experience in developing, maintenance and handling production issues in traditional RDBMS systems, e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL
    • Experience with source control, build and testing frameworks, such as Git, rpm, Jenkins/Hudson, and JUnit
    • Experience with the Agile Development Process and related tools
    • Excellent leadership, communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
    • Familiarity with AWS ecosystem and its data pipeline management tooling
    • Preferred: Interest in financial applications and online advertising
    • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

    FastPay's ePay solution enables media agencies (traditional, digital and political) to pay their suppliers more efficiently using various payment methods including virtual credit card, ACH, check, and the FastPay Network.  FastPay ePay is the only electronic payment solution dedicated to the media industry.  Our customers benefit from greater efficiency in their finance department and earn the highest revenue share when making payments using FastPay's solution.   

    The role requires engaging with CXOs and key Finance leaders of media agencies to understand their payment processes and challenges related to paying invoices.  

    The purpose of the role is to establish strategic business relationships with new and existing clients while driving client satisfaction and maximizing revenue results.

    Responsibilities:

    • Achieve assigned sales quota for your given territory by selling FastPay’s portfolio of ePayment technology services and software development offerings for media industry clients.

    The Role:

    The Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting FastPay ePay Customers.  This role provides direct customer support and programs analysis to ensure that program benefits are achieved.  This role reports to the Director of Operations but collaborates closely with Relationship Managers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide direct service and support for ePay Customers
    • Assist in implementing new customers to ePay program
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customers receive optimal service and support
    • Perform market research and capture changes in the database
    • Analyze industry trends and changes to ensure customers are achieving the most value from the program
    • Complete regular audits, analyze results and prepare both assignments to the payments group and recommendations to relationship managers
    • Analyze supplier mix and provide reports used to increase ePay throughput
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Relationship Management team
    • Communicate with strategic partners on behalf of the ePay program
    • Provide feedback, recommendations, and guidance for improving processes, systems, products, communication methods, etc.

    The Role:

    The Payment Specialist is responsible for ensuring successful delivery and processing of all payments dispatched by FastPay.  This role also provides transactional support to suppliers ensuring that payments are processed efficiently and without error.  This role receives day-to-day direction from the Payment Supervisor and reports to the Director of Operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide service and support for payments dispatched by FastPay
    • Responsible for ensuring that all assigned payments are delivered and processed in a timely manner
    • Research organizational structures, payment acceptance policies and methods of media vendors using databases, publicly available information online and smart data mining techniques
    • Actively engage with suppliers via phone and email to qualify payment acceptance and methods

    We're seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Sales Engineer to support sales of our ePayment solutions. In this role you will support business development, sales, and marketing by providing your application expertise and product support to prospective advertising agency clients. Product demo’s will be a large component of this role, so your professional presentation and communication skills are paramount.

    The ideal candidate will be self-directed and adept at using critical thinking skills to solve challenges. This position requires excellent project management skills, and strong analytical thinking with attention to detail. We are looking for a high energy individual who has the ability to manage multiple projects working collaboratively in a team environment, while also maintaining autonomy regarding specific projects and responsibilities. The candidate will be goal and revenue focused.

    Responsibilities:

    • Actively participate in full sales cycle including discovery, opportunity evaluation, proof of concept support, and opportunity closure
    • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
    • Responsible for representing the product at a high level to customers on site and via webinars as well as off-site field events such as conferences and seminars
    • Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
    • Providing training and producing support materials for other members of the sales team
    • Problem solving, customer requests
    • Maintaining existing long-term relationships with customers
    • Preparing content for literature and technical documents

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years in a similar role supporting SaaS products preferred
    • Business/finance focused with a strong interest in the technology/software industry

    • Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle
