  • Vice President Business Development - Supplier Network

    Full Time
    • Location: New York
    • Department: Sales

    The Role:

    FastPay's ePay solution enables media agencies (traditional, digital and political) to pay their suppliers more efficiently using various payment methods including virtual credit card, ACH, check, and the FastPay Network.  FastPay ePay is the only electronic payment solution dedicated to the media industry.  Customers benefit from our fully automated workflow, media expertise, and earn the highest revenue share when making payments using FastPay's platform.   

    The Vice President Business Development – Supplier Network, based in either New York or Los Angeles, will successfully manage, support and develop the Supplier Development team at FastPay spearheading initiatives to offer financial and invoice workflow solutions for both enterprise and long-tail media suppliers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop scalable processes to identify and capture new customers and partners in a competitive industry
    • Collaborate with cross functional internal stakeholders acting as a key liaison between the commercial, credit, sales, marketing, and product / technical teams
    • Identify services and/or product opportunities to increase FastPay penetration into supplier marketplace
    • Ideate and advocate for product improvements to increase value of overall product suite for suppliers
    • Provide market intelligence and partner feedback to applicable internal teams to evolve the supplier product suite
    • Represent FastPay at industry events and conferences and manage team’s presence at each event

    Requirements

    • 7-10 years Sales, Business Development, or Product experience in media, ad tech, or related industry a plus
    • 2+ years of Team Management experience
    • Experience interfacing and selling products to both enterprise and smaller media suppliers and publishers
    • Strong understanding of media supplier ecosystem, preferably with pre-existing relationships with major media suppliers
    • Familiarity with media supply side ERP’s, accounting systems, and inventory management platforms within the media ecosystem a plus: Wideorbit, Mediaocean, Freewheel, Ad-Juster, Google Doubleclick suite, MOAT, Netsuite, Oracle, etc.
    • Exceptional aptitude for building business relationships and creativity to understand business problems across multiple stakeholders
    • Ability to rapidly understand and articulate technical products and services
    • B.S. in related field, MBA preferred

    The Role:

    The Product Manager is an accomplished achiever in designing, building and owning great software products. The person in this critical role obtains input from a wealth of sources, both externally and internally, to evolve existing products and innovate new solutions. We are looking for someone who has demonstrated product management skills, has achieved impressive results, and has technical expertise in the field of software, electronic payments, or general financial services.

    We are looking for a Product Manager based in either our Los Angeles HQ or Framingham, MA.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Collect and synthesize product research from prospects, customers, partners, and others within the industry through via interviews, networking, attending conferences, and leveraging other professional and company-established relationships.
    • Continuous immersion in the in the media and B2B payments industry to understand trends and strategic shifts. Make recommendations about how to best capitalize on industry changes.
    • Interact with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to triangulate input from internal teams with market research and industry knowledge.
    • Work closely with UI/UX designers and Engineering to bring your ideas to life
    • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines
    • Provide detailed product specifications and requirements
    • Solicit input and collaborate with other product managers and engineers to refine product requirements and planning
    • Author detailed user stories, use cases, and acceptance conditions
    • Work closely with project managers to organize and manage product development and product launches
    • Work in an agile framework and understand the scrum process

     

    Requirements:

    • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in SaaS software and platform technology
    • BA/BS or relevant experience
    • Strong technical aptitude with an ability to envision technology that inspires users and enables them to work efficiently and effectively
    • Demonstrated ability clearly articulate concepts, requirements, and requests both in writing and verbally
    • Passion for web-based technology products and services with a focus on the finance industry

    The Role:

    FastPay is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager who will be responsible for all accounting processes and reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, a sense of ownership, great communication skills, independent worker, and a passion for delivering results in a fast-paced, agile environment. This position reports to the Controller and is part of a small, nimble team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare the month-end books by entity for all 7 operating subsidiaries as well as assisting with the consolidation of the monthly financials.
    • Ensure that all transactions are recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Own the general ledger and ensure proper reconciliation of all accounts.
    • Maintain AP function including receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. Prioritize invoices according to potential cash discount and payment terms. 
    • Perform analysis on financial results monthly. Research and describe all variances in a concise and meaningful manner.
    • Assist with compiling data for the annual external audit and tax preparation.
    • Prepare and file various compliance requirements when needed. 
    • Operating and making recommendations in order to keep a strong internal control environment.
    • Assist in streamlining month end close and financial reporting processes.
    • Identify and resolve operational and financial issues involving accounting policies, procedures and systems.
    • Maintain the fixed assets, prepaid expense, deferred financing, intangibles & capitalized software schedules and account for any additions/deletions and depreciation/amortization.
    • Assist in other duties assigned by the Controller or CFO. 

    Requirements: 

    • Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree
    • CPA a plus
    • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience
    • Experience in a high transaction financial services environment preferred
    • Fortune 500 and or private startup company experience
    • Knowledge of US GAAP
    • NetSuite & Quickbooks Online Experience a plus
    • Experience performing month end close procedures including external/internal financial reporting
    • Ability and desire to work in a fast paced growth environment
    • Intermediate to Advanced excel skills
    • Intercompany reconciliation experience preferred

    The Role:

    The Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting FastPay ePay Customers in Framingham, MA.  This role provides direct customer support and programs analysis to ensure that program benefits are achieved.  This role reports to the Director of Operations but collaborates closely with Relationship Managers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide direct service and support for ePay Customers
    • Assist in implementing new customers to ePay program
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customers receive optimal service and support
    • Perform market research and capture changes in the database
    • Analyze industry trends and changes to ensure customers are achieving the most value from the program
    • Complete regular audits, analyze results and prepare both assignments to the payments group and recommendations to relationship managers
    • Analyze supplier mix and provide reports used to increase ePay throughput
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Relationship Management team
    • Communicate with strategic partners on behalf of the ePay program
    • Provide feedback, recommendations, and guidance for improving processes, systems, products, communication methods, etc.

    Job Description

    Our knowledge of the financial side of digital media business lives at the core of what we do. Our Payments and Collections Analyst will be at the heart of our business, handling a broad set of cash related responsibilities to meet our clients’ daily needs. These responsibilities include:

    • Intaking, processing and posting of client collections to the appropriate accounts
    • Balancing daily deposits to the general ledger
    • Identifying payment discrepancies and conferring with internal or external parties to resolve
    • Facilitating outbound disbursements to multiple clients in various payment methods
    • Recommending actions to resolve discrepancies with clients
    • Assisting in the development and innovation of our products and services to fit the intricacies of the market.
    • Preparing reports and fulfilling any audit related requests.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline including, business, economics, accounting, finance
    • Some work experience in a related field
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills 
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periods
    • Ability to think “outside the box” and excel at creating better efficiencies
