  • Front End Engineer

    THE ROLE:

    FastPay is seeking a Front End Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles!

    Job Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement solutions for the product visuals and experience
    • Design, develop and debug single page web applications
    • Develop core integration of workflow user interface with underlying FastPay technology platform
    • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
    • Implement best practices in terms of front-end web framework build processes
    • Collaborate closely and regularly with the other teams, including Quality Engineering, Platform Engineering, Product Development, Project Management and Customer Service
    • As key member of the technology team, helps recruit, screen, hire, train, mentor, and coach technology candidates both within and outside the team

     

    Skills & Experience

    • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing web client applications
    • Rock solid core front-end technologies: JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, JSON, AJAX
    • Solid understanding of concepts: OOP, event-driven programming, pub/sub architecture, MV* architecture
    • Proficient with RESTful API standards and best practices
    • MV* frameworks such as AngularJS, and React. Ember.js is a plus
    • CSS pre-processors such as Stylus, Sass, Less
    • Experience debugging cross-browser compatibility issues
    • Comfortable using front-end tools for debugging, live editing, and performance analysis such as Chrome developer tools and Firebug
    • Experience with responsive design principles
    • Comfortable using Git for version control

     

    Bonus experience:

    • SPA development experience
    • Task runners such as Grunt, Gulp, and Webpack
    • Unit testing / end-to-end testing
    • Familiarity using command line interfaces

    FastPay is seeking a Software Engineer - Platform to join our team in Los Angeles!

     

    Responsibilities: 

    • Develops new features in Java, Python, and SQL for the FastPay platform based on business technical requirements
    • Actively participates in all platform service & data infrastructure projects, including API development, database schema design, and ETL processes
    • Manage data aspects of the FastPay Platform including SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ETL processes (AWS centric pipeline)
    • Creates and updates technical documentation for projects including: functional specifications, process design and decomposition, data dictionaries, schema models, data flow, and entity relationship
    • Collaborates closely and regularly with the other teams, including Production & Quality Engineering, Product Development, Project Management and Operations
    • Researches, evaluates, tests, deploys, and maintains software development tools and utilities
    • As key member of the technology team, helps recruit, screen, hire, train, mentor, and coach technology candidates both within and outside the team

     

    Skills & Experience

    • 3-5 years of engineering experience in designing, developing, and supporting complex, scalable, high-availability, high-variety data applications in Python, Java, and SQL
    • Skills and experience with Java web services and ETL development in shell scripting, Python and SQL in Linux-based environment.
    • Experience in developing, maintenance and handling production issues in traditional RDBMS systems, e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL
    • Experience with source control, build and testing frameworks, such as Git, rpm, Jenkins/Hudson, and JUnit
    • Experience with the Agile Development Process and related tools
    • Excellent leadership, communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
    • Familiarity with AWS ecosystem and its data pipeline management tooling
    • Preferred: Interest in financial applications and online advertising

    About the role

    The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for owning the editorial calendar, driving content development, and executing on the external messaging strategy for FastPay.   This is an essential role within the Marketing organization and key to FastPay’s go-to-market strategy to increase awareness, enable sales and drive revenue.

    Responsibilities

    • Establish the editorial calendar to drive specific themes and cadence of thought leadership across all FastPay communication channels
    • Deliver industry leading blogposts, white papers, newsletters and outbound marketing emails to reinforce the FastPay value proposition and overall market leadership
    • Manage all communication channels including website, social, webinars, paid media, partner marketing and PR to drive marketplace awareness
    • Create, refine and launch key messages and strategies to reinforce the overall FastPay value proposition along with key product launches
    • Manage production vendors, 3rd party contractors and inside resources to create content and deliver projects to meet critical deadlines

    Requirements

    • Substantial experience writing, creating content, and managing multiple communications channels preferably in a B2B environment
    • Excellent project management skills, an eye for design, and attention to detail
    • The candidate should foster a sense of innovation and be a champion for creating industry leading marketing materials
    • Experience in Financial Services, Media, and/or Advertising is a plus

    Job Description

    FastPay is seeking an Underwriting Paralegal with a proven track record in commercial finance law to lead our legal underwriting efforts.  You will be working with a top-tier team to perform diligence and aid our Underwriting/Sales/Credit departments in analyzing the profiles of both prospective and current clients. Responsibilities include:

    • Drafting, creating, and maintaining transactional closing checklists and organizing and maintaining deal files
    • Assisting the relevant operations, credit, or underwriting team leader on completing any necessary filings (UCC-1 financing statements, debentures, etc.)
    • Draft simple legal documents including simple contract amendments and other items
    • Perform legal and factual research
    • Manage and organize discovery requests or responses for any pending litigation matters

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, or certificate program in paralegal studies

    • Preparing reports and fulfilling internal technical account audits.

    Qualifications
