To clarify the essence of the arrangement by which FastPay collects and processes personal data, all the legal entities above are considered data controllers in their own right. On occasion, for certain processing activities, one of the entities may act as a data processor for another. The type of personal data we collect will depend upon the nature of your relationship with us (e.g., whether you are a client, prospective client, job candidate, service provider, or visitor to the Sites or our premises), the purpose for which the data is required, and our legal and regulatory obligations.

As a prospective client or employee or representative of a prospective client for FastPay, the information we collect from you may include the following:

  • professional information such as job title and employer/company;
  • nature of your or your employer’s interest in our product(s) and service(s);
  • information about the product(s) and service(s) you or your employer may wish to obtain from us.
  • details regarding your attendance at FastPay’s events;
  • health-related information (such as dietary requirements, disability access, medical conditions, etc.) in connection with your participation at our events; and
  • information as required by regulatory “know your client” and or anti-money laundering or proceeds of crime legislation. Some of this information we may request and/or obtain from third party sources.

Job candidate

As a job candidate looking to join FastPay, the information we collect from you for recruitment purposes may include the following:

  • contact details (including names, postal addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers);
  • information regarding your criminal and disciplinary records (if any), including from background checking authorities, agencies and any regulators;
  • details of your references;
  • information about your previous academic and/or employment history, including details of any conduct, grievance or performance issues, appraisals, time and attendance, from references obtained about you from previous employers and/or education providers;
  • information regarding your academic and professional qualifications;
  • your nationality and immigration status and information from related documents, such as your passport or other identification and immigration information; and
  • a copy of your driver’s license or other suitable documentation to identify you and verify your identity.


We collect limited information that could be considered personal data from providers of services or suppliers to FastPay. The information we collect from you may include the following:

  • your name and contact details (i.e., address, landline and mobile phone numbers, email address);
  • bank account details, should we need to transfer funds to you.

We use a tool provided by TrueLayer Limited ( (“TrueLayer“) that allows you to send information on your payment accounts to us and other service providers. In order to use our services, you will be asked to enter your payment account details with TrueLayer and agree to their Terms of Service. The Terms of Service set out the terms on which you agree to TrueLayer accessing information on your payment accounts for the purposes of transmitting that information to us.

TrueLayer is subject to UK and EU data protection laws and is required to treat your data in accordance with those laws, as well as the Terms of Service and TrueLayer’s Privacy Policy. TrueLayer is authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulation 2017 to provide account information services and payment initiation services (Firm Reference Number: 793171).

Users of the Sites

As a user of the Sites or any other website or web address operated by or on behalf of FastPay that links to this Privacy Statement, we collect information that you submit to us when you interact with features of the Sites such as logging into your account. When you do this we may collect:

  • your name and contact details (i.e., address, home and mobile phone numbers, email address);
  • your username and password;
  • your credit/debit card details for payment purposes;
  • anything you download from the Sites; and
  • any information that you input into the Sites.

In addition to collecting information, we collect analytics relating to your time spent on the Sites. We collect the following information:

  • your internet protocol (IP) address; your login data, browser type and version; time zone setting and location; browser plug-in types and versions; operating system and platform; and other technology on the devices you use to access the Sites.

Our Sites are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children via the Sites.  

Visitors to our premises

As a visitor to FastPay’s premises, we may capture the following information about you:

  • contact details (including names, postal addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers);
  • images captured by our premises’ CCTV cameras.

We also collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated data could be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your data relating to your use of this website to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature. However, if we combine or connect such data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this Privacy Statement

Third-Party Analytics

FastPay’s online portals may, from time to time, utilize third-party analytics systems (including but not limited to FullStory) to help improve usability and the customer experience.  Such systems may record mouse clicks, mouse movements and scrolling activity. Such systems may record keystroke information that you voluntarily enter on this website. Such systems do not track this activity on any site that does not use such systems.  With respect to FullStory, you can choose to disable such service at Note, that doing so will disable other features and services of such FullStory system that our sites may, from time to time, employ such as 1-to-1 support chat or troubleshooting service support.



FastPay collects and processes your personal data in connection with its business and to pursue our related legitimate interests and rights, including the promotion and marketing of our products and services.

Your personal data is kept for the time required to pursue the purposes for which it was collected and processed, including for the purpose of satisfying any applicable legal, professional, contractual, regulatory, accounting or reporting requirements.

If you request that we stop sending you marketing materials, we will continue to keep a record of your contact details and appropriate information to enable us to comply with your request not to be contacted by us.

International transfers of your personal data

FastPay is based in the United States, which is outside the EEA. We allow different FastPay offices to access your personal data, and may allow access to your personal data, or parts of it, to our service providers required to obtain the services we need to operate our business or to provide services to our clients. Our third-party service providers may also be based outside the EEA.

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the EEA, where required by law, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

  • We will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the European Commission.
  • Where we use certain providers, we may use specific contracts approved by the European Commission which give personal data the same protection it has in Europe.

The Sites are designed to secure the personal data you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment. When personal data (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

For clients, prospective clients, job candidates and providers, it is in your discretion to provide personal data to us. However, for us to enter into a contract with you or your employer, or other professional, employment or business relationship with you, we will need to obtain certain information, including personal data that may be necessary or legally required. If you do not provide us with all or some of the personal data we request, we may be prevented from entering into a contract with you, providing you with services, or sending you marketing information or other communications that you have requested.

For users of the Sites, providing your personal data is purely voluntarily. Not providing such data may only prevent you from receiving information from FastPay. Analytical information captured when you use our products or services, access your account and/or visit the Sites is described in our Cookies Policy, which you can review here.
